EXHIBITIONS

Pirbright Art Club now holds three exhibitions each year. Our main "Annual Exhibition", takes place in early December, and our Summer outdoor "Railings Exhibition" is at the end of July. We have exhibited in the village Scarecrow Festival for several consecutive years and during 2017 we took part in the Pirbright Community Games (see below).

ANNUAL EXHIBITION

Our 2017 Annual Exhibition took place over the weekend of 2nd / 3rd of December in The Lord Pirbright's Hall, Pirbright. The exhibition featured many works by our Club artists, most of which were for sale. Unframed folios, including unframed oils and acrylics, were also for sale as well as cards and prints featuring member's paintings. A craft fair also took place in the adjacent Club Room, which also provided a "tea shop" for refreshments. The exhibition was a great success, with the usual congratulatory comments from many visitors. An excellent number of sales of both framed and unframed pictures were made.

PIRBRIGHT COMMUNITY GAMES

We have exhibited in the village Scarecrow Festival for several consecutive years and in 2017 we took part in the Pirbright Community Games. Our contribution to the Games was a "join-in" session, where members of the public were encouraged to "have-a-go". Maggie Read also demonstrated and oversaw the workshops. There were also several Club members who were painting "en-plein-air" during this very successful day.

RAILINGS EXHIBITION

The "Railings Exhibition", our annual Summer outdoor exhibition and sale of work, was unfortunately cancelled in 2017 due to bad weather.
